With nearly 13 years of sobriety after a 17-year struggle with addiction, he raises awareness about the opioid crisis and inspires hope. John has worked with schools, recovery programs, and community organizations, and is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Community Health Worker, MRT Certified facilitator, and Certified Recovery Coach.

WOW! The staff and I were blown away by how he resonated with both middle and high school students. By sharing real-life insights about the opioid crisis and the importance of mental health awareness, John captured students' attention and encouraged them to reflect on the choices they make and the importance of seeking help when needed. In a world that is often distracted by devices, John had the attention of every student in that gymnasium. We will definitely be asking him to return.
